Imerja scores with kit for Southport Trinity
7th August 2013
Southport Trinity’s U7 football team has been showing off a new kit sponsored by Imerja, the [Bolton based] IT solutions specialist.
The company has purchased kit for the entire squad, which is expected to see them through their matches in the Craven Minor League for two years. The intention then is for the kit to be donated to the Gambian village of Penyem, which Imerja has supported for several years, providing mosquito nets for all families and helping to establish a new medical centre including sponsoring a full time doctor.
Damien Kennedy, manager at Southport Trinity U7s, said: “The kids have just been overwhelmed. It’s the first year they’ve all played and now they’ve got a fantastic kit that brings them together. We’re really grateful to Imerja.”
Ian Jackson, managing director at Imerja, added: “We’re delighted to be able to support the team, not just the kids that play but the adults who invest so much of their time coaching and organising the matches. Sending the kit to Penyem seemed like a good way to link the project with our ongoing support to the village.”
