Imerja has completed a contract to upgrade Chelsea and Westminster Healthcare NHS Trust’s firewall. Imerja, a Crossbeam authorised partner, is also providing 24-hour support to the Trust.

Under the contract Imerja transferred the Trust’s existing Check Point firewalls from Sun Solaris servers to Crossbeam’s C-Series platforms.

Matt Johnson, operations and services director at Imerja, said: “The Trust previously had a single firewall securing its connection to NHS Net. But it had greater reliance on newer applications and electronic-services, so it needed a more resilient solution. We designed and implemented firewall architecture based on Crossbeam appliances.

Bill Gordon, Assistant Director of IT at the Trust, said: “By consolidating our Check Point firewalls onto Crossbeam platforms we have been able to maintain our robust security policies, while at the same time boosting network performance.
