Lancashire County Council
After issuing a number of laptops and mobile devices to support its remote working initiative, Lancashire County Council needed to ensure that the data taken outside of the council’s network was secure.
Aware of the potential challenges it could face in the event of a data loss or other security breach, the council decided to secure all of its mobile devices, with a full encryption solution for data in transit, and appointed Imerja as the preferred service provider. Using encryption for the whole remote technology estate now enables the council’s workforce to move freely in and around the council network, despite all the potential external threats.
The council selected Check Point’s Full Disk Encryption (FDE), and engaged Imerja to install and configure the solution. The FDE solution offers centralised management, which ensures fast deployment, ease of administration and fully enforceable user compliance.
“Lancashire County Council has an extensive and expanding mobile computing estate, in use by a wide variety of departments and services. It was clear from the outset that choosing the right solution and provider would be critical in order to successfully implement the vital encryption solution we require. Imerja has helped provide the crucial solution and support necessary to meet our security requirements, at the scale required, and across our diverse operational environment.”

Aside from installing the solution, Imerja provides ongoing remote support through its 24x7 Secure Operations Centre (ISOC) ensuring that there is always someone on hand to assist the council should any maintenance or support issues arise.
