Sussex Health Informatics Service (HIS)

Imerja initially worked with Sussex HIS through the Sussex and Surrey Primary Care Support Service (PCSS), as they faced a requirement to share application access and information across all physical locations within Sussex and Surrey. Imerja undertook a due diligence exercise to compare IPSec and SSL technologies as appropriate to the PCSS business needs, and provided outline cost comparisons of the different approaches for planning purposes. The result was a comprehensive report detailing the strengths and weaknesses of the different technologies as applicable to the PCSS business strategy and objectives.

Subsequently to this initial work the Sussex HIS purchased an Imerja ForeSight package to provide itself with flexible access to technical and complementary services, as and when required. The advanced purchase of ForeSight resource has been used to assist Sussex HIS with business justifications, specifically in support of the ongoing drive to develop the IT infrastructure required to underpin improved delivery of patient care across the region.
