Health Foundation
Having undertaken a detailed review of its IT security stance, the Foundation identified a potential back door to and from its network and electronic data, which could possibly result in the loss of sensitive data and leave it vulnerable to a potential attack.
Jason Biggs, Head of ICT at The Health Foundation, asked Imerja to work with the charity to address potential data leakage issues. He wanted to ensure that laptops leaving the organisation are encrypted in case of loss or theft and that all removable media devices, including iPods, cameras and mobile phones, were controlled based on the Foundation’s security policy, which aims to prevent malware, virus, or confidential data being introduced or leaving the charity.
Imerja worked in partnership with the Foundation to identify areas of risk associated with all end point devices, data movement, desktops, laptops and mobile workers. Following an initial period of investigation and consultation, Imerja provided the Foundation with two recommended options based on their specific criteria for testing until the full scope of their requirements were defined and their future plans understood. The Foundation selected the Check Point End Point security solution suite and retained Imerja to install and configure the solution.
The successful implementation of the solution provides the Foundation with a granular, secure and bespoke solution that would integrate fully with its network and desired security policy, providing a very secure and easy to manage total end point solution.
