Bolton-based IT services provider, Imerja has successfully completed a project to implement a flexible working strategy for Warrington Borough Council.

Imerja is committed to the continued modernisation of local and central government and in particular the work around the Government Connect programme.

In addition to servicing the local authority community, Imerja has been actively involved both directly and in-directly with the Government Connect programme since it was launched in March 2005. More recently Imerja has teamed up with the NCC Group to jointly develop the Enabling Government Connect service.

Aimed at local authorities, Enabling Government Connect offers a three staged approach to the implementation and integration of GC products and services. The steps – GCReview, GCAssess and GCEnable – help enable a seamless implementation taking authorities from the development of their initial business case through to compliance, ensuring they achieve a return on their investment.

The service brings together the strengths of NCC’s independent ICT, information and business consultants with Imerja’s ICT infrastructure security specialists, drawing on the combined expertise and extensive experience of local government ICT projects.

Attendance at SOCITM 2006 in October will see the continued promotion of Enabling Government Connect complimented by televised exposure of Imerja’s approach to the public sector during the main political party conferences in September and October of this year.

Imerja has joined forces with independent consultancy NCC Group to provide local authorities wishing to join Government Connect with a tailor made package of professional services which will take them from zero to connected with minimal fuss or disruption to their organisation.

Government Connect provides a secure and sustainable framework to securely transmit electronic communications, enabling local government and its partners from other public sector organisations, and the third sector, to deliver personalised joined up services to their customers and offer service improvement.

The “enabling” service from Imerja and NCC Group provides an uncomplicated three stage approach which will ensure a seamless implementation from development of the initial business case through to compliance.

The service will be delivered by a team of experienced consultants from NCC Group and Imerja, bringing together the strengths of NCC Group’s independent ICT, information and business consultants with Imerja’s ICT infrastructure security specialists, and drawing on the team’s combined expertise and extensive experience of local government ICT projects.
