Imerja is delighted to announce another successful awards win, this time for the Crains Manchester Business Best Places to Work 2010 Awards.Open to businesses across Greater Manchester, the award recognises companies that create positive and efficient working environments for their employees. Imerja was selected as winner of the ‘Big’ category for companies with 26-50 employees, beating nine others to the title.

The awards process included an anonymous employees survey, which was assessed by judges who focused on the criteria of team effectiveness, co-worker and leadership trust, work engagement, individual contribution and performance.

Ian Jackson, Managing Director of Imerja, commented:

“This award is a fantastic achievement for Imerja, and helps to cement our position as a leading business in the North West region. Having recently won the MicroScope 2010 Award for Public Sector Reseller of the Year, and secured our place in the Deloitte FAST 500 listing for EMEA, the Crain’s Business award shows that Imerja is not only recognised as a leading IT company with strong technical excellence, but also for our positive business culture, employee and customer satisfaction.

“We encourage a fun work ethic amongst our employees and our customers like the fact that we enjoy our jobs – they often say that it filters down through into their own IT team through our close partnership.”

Imerja are delighted to have been name as Public Sector Reseller of the Year at the Microscope ACEs Awards on 26th May, beating some very strong competition including 2e2, SBL and Northgate.

The award was in part based on the number of votes cast by the public which demonstrates that despite the relatively small size compared to competitiors, Imerja are respected and valued by customers and business partners and is a reflection of the strong relationships that Imerja have built over the years.  Also, given the very competitive market in a challenging economic environment with budget cuts in public spending ahead, recognition of Imerja’s work in this area can only help to strengthen Imerja’s credibility in the public sector.

Mark Evans, Marketing and Communications Director, who attended the awards evening said ‘The award is a tremendous achievement and testament to the work we do as a business. Our recent success in four major industry awards and with two more finalist places in the next month, I am very proud of the organisation and what we have achieved in this challenging time.’

A full list of finalists can be found on the Microscope website.

Jackson was also a finalist for the Lancashire Director of the Year Award.

Jackson commented: “I am delighted to have won this award, although it is really down to the team at Imerja who have remained committed to the company’s environmental policies and continually supported our corporate charities.

“IT offers so many solutions to help businesses reduce their carbon footprint, which should be embraced. Imerja is constantly working to offer businesses opportunities to be more ‘green’. With the Carbon Reduction Commitment due to be enforced in April 2010 for companies with an annual electricity bill of up to £500,000, businesses should really be considering now how to limit their usage.”
